AAP Celebrates Supreme Court’s Decision to Grant Bail to Arvind Kejriwal

On Friday, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) celebrated the Supreme Court’s decision to grant bail to Delhi Chief Minister and party leader Arvind Kejriwal, who was previously detained in connection with the excise policy scam. The party hailed the decision as a “triumph of truth.”

The Supreme Court, through a two-judge bench consisting of Justices Surya Kant and Ujjal Bhuyan, granted Kejriwal bail on the condition of a Rs 10 lakh bond and two sureties. This ruling paves the way for his release from incarceration.

In response to the court’s decision, Sunita Kejriwal, the Chief Minister’s wife, expressed her gratitude to AAP supporters and voiced hopes for the release of other party leaders who are currently under arrest.

The Supreme Court has instructed Kejriwal to refrain from making public statements regarding the specifics of the case.

Sunita Kejriwal took to social media, stating, “Congratulations to the AAP family! Your resilience has been remarkable. We also look forward to the swift release of our other leaders.”

Former Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia commented that “truth has prevailed over deceit and conspiracies.”

In his social media post, Sisodia also paid homage to Dr. B.R. Ambedkar, reflecting on how his vision had fortified the common man against potential autocratic forces.

Delhi Minister Aatishi welcomed the decision, emphasizing that “truth may face challenges, but it cannot be defeated.”

AAP Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Singh criticized Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s administration, stating, “Modi’s authoritarian tactics failed to diminish Arvind Kejriwal’s spirit. Democracy cannot be stifled by dictatorship. The barriers of falsehood are crumbling. The deceitful cases brought by the ED, CBI, and BJP have been exposed. Satyamev Jayate!”
