Thiruvananthapuram: Indian Railways is all set to bring Kerala its very first Vande Bharat Sleeper train, and it will roll out from Thiruvananthapuram. This is part of a larger plan to introduce 10 such sleeper trains across the country during this financial year. While Vande Bharat Express trains (with only chair cars) are already running from Thiruvananthapuram to cities like Mangaluru and Kasaragod, this new version is designed for overnight travel, offering beds instead of just seats — making it ideal for long journeys.
