New Delhi, May 9 — The National Commission for Women (NCW) has reprimanded the management of the ULLU app for allegedly portraying women in an obscene and degrading manner in its show House Arrest. The commission has warned of potential regulatory actions, including a complete ban on the platform.
During a hearing on Thursday, NCW Chairperson Vijayalaxmi Rahatkar questioned ULLU’s CEO, Avinash Dugar, and Operations Head Priyanka Chaurasia about the content in question. The commission stated that the show glorifies misconduct, promotes the objectification of women, and borders on "soft pornography."
