PM Modi Accuses JMM-Congress-RJD of Supporting Bangladeshi and Rohingya Immigrants, Criticizes Jharkhand Coalition Government

During a visit to Jharkhand on Sunday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi criticized the JMM-Congress-RJD coalition government, alleging that their stance on immigration issues is contributing to insecurity among the state’s indigenous population. Modi claimed that the coalition’s refusal to acknowledge the influx of Bangladeshi and Rohingya Muslims as a demographic threat has led to rising tensions and crimes in the region.

Modi’s remarks come in the context of recent affidavits filed by the home ministry and Aadhaar’s nodal agency, UIDAI, in the high court, which highlight infiltration concerns in six tribal-dominant districts. “The tribal population is declining in Santhal Pargana and Kolhan divisions,” Modi said during his address in Ranchi.

Infiltration and Crime Allegations

The Prime Minister alleged that these infiltrators are taking over local governance institutions and committing crimes against women. He noted that an independent panel has recently been formed by the high court to investigate these claims. Modi stated, “Every Jharkhandi is feeling insecure because of the infiltration.”

BJP’s Rally and Criticism of Opponents

At a BJP rally in Jamshedpur, Modi accused the JMM, Congress, and RJD of aligning with Rohingya and Bangladeshi immigrants to create vote banks based on religion. He urged the people of Jharkhand to unite and support the BJP, calling the coalition government’s days numbered. Modi described the coalition as “enemies of the state” and criticized the Congress as the “origin of all corruption,” claiming that the JMM is now adopting Congress’s corruption practices.

Critique of Governance and Corruption

Modi also criticized the coalition government for alleged corruption and mismanagement. He pointed out that while the middle class struggles to save money, large sums are seized from MPs and ministers, and even Army land is not spared. He claimed that fear of land being sold has led people to put up ‘not-for-sale’ signs.

Local Issues and Upcoming Elections

Modi referenced the recent insult faced by ex-CM Champai Soren, who joined the BJP, and warned that women in Jharkhand would respond decisively to the coalition government in the upcoming elections. He also highlighted the tragic deaths of young people competing for excise-constable posts as a reflection of the state’s current state of affairs.

Modi’s visit and statements underscore the BJP’s focus on electoral strategy as Jharkhand approaches its year-end assembly polls.
