Prayagraj – A stone pelting incident occurred on the Mahabodhi Express, which was traveling from Delhi to Gaya (Bihar) near Prayagraj. The incident took place around 9 PM on Monday, just before the Yamuna Bridge, when miscreants hurled stones at the train. One of the stones hit the guard's brake panel, but fortunately, no passengers or railway staff were injured.
Upon receiving the guard's report, the Railway Protection Force (RPF) rushed to the scene and registered a case, initiating an investigation. The train was en route to Mirzapur from Prayagraj when the incident occurred. However, North Central Railway's Chief Public Relations Officer (CPRO), Shashikant Tripathi, denied reports of heavy stone pelting, clarifying that only one stone was thrown at the train, and no one has been taken into custody.
