Trump Accuses Zuckerberg of Election Plot in New Book: “He Will Spend Rest of Life in Prison”

New York: In a forthcoming book, former President Donald Trump makes explosive allegations against Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg, accusing him of a covert plot to undermine his 2020 presidential campaign. The book, titled Save America, is set for release on September 3 and claims that Zuckerberg’s actions amounted to a deliberate conspiracy against Trump.

Trump’s book includes a photo of himself with Zuckerberg at the White House, accompanied by a scathing critique. “He would come to the Oval Office, bring his very nice wife to dinners, and appear as friendly as possible, all while plotting to install shameful Lock Boxes in a true PLOT AGAINST THE PRESIDENT,” Trump writes. The term “Lock Boxes” refers to the $420 million Zuckerberg reportedly contributed to election infrastructure during the 2020 election, which Trump denounces as part of a broader scheme against him.

Trump’s rhetoric extends beyond his book. In a preview obtained by Politico, Trump declares that if Zuckerberg or others engage in illegal activities during the 2024 elections, they “will spend the rest of their life in prison.” This statement reflects Trump’s ongoing campaign against perceived election interference.

In addition to his book, Trump has reiterated his criticisms on social media. On Truth Social, he warned election fraudsters of severe consequences, stating, “Trump has made similar remarks about Zuckerberg before,” and cautioned Zuckerberg to “be careful.”

Zuckerberg, meanwhile, has recently shifted his public stance, aligning himself more with Republican concerns. In a letter to the House Judiciary Committee, he claimed that the Biden administration had pressured Meta to censor COVID-19 content. Zuckerberg expressed regret over his company’s lack of resistance to this pressure, describing it as a mistake.

The latest revelations and accusations come amidst a contentious political climate, highlighting the ongoing tensions between tech leaders and political figures. As the 2024 election approaches, the discourse around election integrity and platform influence continues to escalate.
